Private message for ASNE newsletter Thanks for including the Andy Rooney vid on newspapers. Another TV icon, HDNET's Dan Rather, also did a recent syndicated column on how much TV depends on newspapers to drive the cable and broadcast newsgathering agenda. His column ran in subscribing newspapers ironically and may have been missed by many. but it's a strong tribute and might be worth excerpting to reach at least a larger choir.
