Dear Editor:

Committee work has been a lifeblood and a strength of ASNE for years. It is an entry point for most editors to the organization. Although we did not meet at a convention this year, we have selected some outstanding committee chairmen. I am already impressed with their dedication to accomplish goals they have set for their committees. Some of them are getting a late start because I had to shuffle committee chairs after some of the original chairs had to back out after they left the business or their duties changed at their news organization, another reason I am indebted to my committee chairs, some of whom were called into action later than usual.

Below is a list of the committees and their goals for the coming year. I urge you to look this list over and contact one of the committee chairs to offer your help. As I said, many of them are off to a great start. I know every editor is overwhelmed with his or her job, but I hope each of you can find a committee to at least provide some help in this pivotal year for ASNE.

Here are the committees and e-mail address for the chairs.
